Each week a new batch of 1 day old Devonshire Gold chicks arrives on the farm. They go straight into one of our brooders, before being moved to one of the top fields once big enough.

Getting the brooder up to temperature for their arrival today was definitely not an isssue!

This week we cut our first ever silage crop from a herbal ley planted autumn 2022. Thankfully some unexpected rain was quickly followed by sunshine, and the bales are now wrapped and stored ready for feeding to our lambing ewes next year.
